Digital to analogue conversion

If we have a digital signal, we can convert it into an analogue signal using a process called digital to analogue conversion - using a DAC.

This basically converts a digital signal into an analogue signal by interpolating the digital signal at regular intervals. It will take a series of 1s and 0s, and create an analogue wave that approximates the digital signal.

The main use is for sound. When you listen to music, you’re hearing an analogue signal - the sound waves in the air.
