Volume of revolution
There are two key terms to know in the volumes of revolution topic:
- Solid of revolution
- Volume of revolution
A solid of revolution is the 3D shape that we get as a result of rotating a line / shape about the x or y axis.
The volume of revolution is the volume of the solid of revolution. We can find it using a formula involving integration.
